Training of Trainers on EntreComp empowers TVET trainers in Dire Dawa
Fifteen staff members from three Ethiopian TVET colleges came together in Dire Dawa for a four-day Training of Trainers focused on the EntreComp framework. The training is carried out in the framework of the STEP project and organized and provided by CINOP. The training aimed to equip educators with the knowledge and tools to integrate entrepreneurial competencies into their curricula, following a train-the-trainer approach to ensure broad impact.

The programme included an introduction to EntreComp, sessions on developing learning outcomes and didactics, and hands-on work on Problem Based Learning (PBL) modules tailored to each college. A visit to Dire Dawa College enriched the exchange of ideas, and participants presented their draft PBL modules, which will be finalised and shared as part of project deliverables.
Participants found the training inspiring and practical, highlighting improved understanding of entrepreneurship and a strong spirit of collaboration. Challenges included limited time, language barriers, and low female participation—mainly due to logistical constraints. Despite this, the training laid a strong foundation for continued cooperation and implementation across colleges.
