EntreComp 4 Youth: CINOP hosts VR workshop in Jordan

From 2 to 5 September, CINOP successfully hosted a Virtual Reality (VR) workshop in Jordan as part of the Erasmus+ project Entrecomp 4 Youth. This initiative is a collaborative effort between multiple organisations, including Sharek Youth Forum (Palestine), Bantani, Jordan River Foundation (JRF), and CINOP, with the goal of promoting entrepreneurship skills among young people in Jordan and Palestine.

Developing VR films for youth entrepreneurship training

During the workshop, JRF and Sharek Youth Forum worked together to develop innovative VR films. These films are designed to support future entrepreneurship training programmes for youth in Jordan and Palestine. The learning objectives for these films are based on key competencies outlined in the Entrecomp Framework.

The Entrecomp Framework outlines critical skills for entrepreneurial success, including creativity, initiative, and resilience. These competencies form the foundation of the VR films, providing a practical and immersive learning tool for the entrepreneurship programmes.

Equipping Organisations with VR Development Skills

In addition to creating valuable educational content, another goal of the workshop was to train both organisations in the process of VR film development. This aligns with the long-term ambitions of JRF and Sharek Youth Forum to integrate VR technology into their work. With their newly acquired skills, both organisations will be able to use VR more frequently as part of their educational and outreach programmes.

A Successful Collaboration

The workshop was a great success, with enthusiastic participation from both Palestinian and Jordanian organisations. The project was supported by the expert camera and directorial work of Amr Toukhy from Visual Laundry, who expressed his excitement about the collaboration between the two organisations.

Both the Jordan River Foundation and Sharek Youth Forum continue to do remarkable work in supporting youth in their respective communities. This project not only advances entrepreneurship education but also strengthens cross-border cooperation between Palestine and Jordan.
