Currently, Ghana’s agricultural production only meets half of domestic food needs. Further development of the agricultural sector is of crucial importance in order to solve this issue. Food security is high on the Ghanaian agenda and the country’s agricultural colleges play a pivotal role in this. In order to secure food production and consumption now and in the future, CINOP aims to solve challenges in both the agricultural and educational sector.
Since 2017, CINOP is supporting the Ghanaian Ministry of Food and Agriculture by strengthening four agricultural colleges: Kwadaso, Ejura, Wenchi and Ohawu. The local coordinator of this project is Ishak Shaibu, member of Kwadaso Agricultural College. Here, he shares his stories about cooperation with CINOP.
